The Matrix

I realize that I did not SAVE my additions to the matrix before sending it out.

Duh.

I am going to see if I have it open on my machine at home, but if not, I printed it so I can re-type it.

Class divisions came from the development of private prop. And ind. wealth, dividing the capitalists / workers & also men and women as women & children became the property of men -def in econ terms,"persons with similar 'life chances' for $ & goods based on the mkt" -contrast w/ status groups

Historical observation and prediction -"comparitive" subj meaningful understanding combined with obj causal rel, don't expect laws like nat science

??? -reverse of Durkheim's social facts as things - soc must interpret meaning & dev of human lives

Social change is brought about by class struggle resulting in revolution of the working class which produces a classless society (socialism then capitalism) -from tension btw traditional & rationalization w/both in tension with charismatic -multicausal, econ & other (non-liner)
